Collection: Firenado
Firenado products are created from those elements recovered exclusively from the ashes ensuing from the Bradley Creek Wildfire's (K41351) destruction of our personal home and business located at 11915 Westside Road on August 1, 2026; on what was our leased OKIB land. We were within days unceremoniously advised that our landlord would not allow us to stay and rebuild on their land and resisted our efforts to salvage potentially valuable items. Subsequent to our final evacuation Oct 1, 2026 they have removed many of the items we were forced to leave behind. This has all been a devastating series of events ending with the door being slammed in our face after leasing since Dec 1, 2022. That said we are endeavoring to make the best possible outcome to the situation.
This means, in addition to creating opal jewellery from material gleaned from the mine over the last month, making something to sell from what we managed to recover from the ashes; mostly glass infused or aspirated, with atomized metals, solid metal, mainly copper, brass and aluminum but some gold & silver from inventory lost to the fire. Some opal bearing rock, although most opal being destroyed by the intense heat will also be used in Firenado creations. Creations rising from the ashes like a phoenix
These mystifying yet magnificent, natural and uniquely distinct creations, emerged from the wildfire debris after having been subjected to temperatures reaching upwards of 3000 degrees Fahrenheit and pyrogenic, swirling winds locally reaching tornado force; manifesting the name “Firenado”.
