Opal Resources Canada Inc. Company Synopsis |

|
Canadian gemstones are
attracting International attention. Precious Opal is a rare and
internationally acclaimed gemstone not previously found in Canada; however
British Columbia, Canada is on the threshold to becoming a significant new
source of this beautiful gemstone. People worldwide desire opal! We have
the best in Canada! Opal Resources Canada Inc. is the leader and trendsetter in British Columbia's "Opal Industry". Opal Resources Canada Inc. has the sole right to acquire 100% right, title and interest in the Klinker "Okanagan Opal" Deposit, which is Canada's first commercially viable Opal deposit. The Klinker Precious Opal Deposit was discovered in British Columbia in 1991. In 2002, Okanagan Opal Inc.(OOI) obtained a thirty year Mineral Lease covering a 50 hectare(~120acre) mineral property and obtained preliminary permits required to commence small scale production of "Okanagan Opal" from the Klinker Opal Deposit. Okanagan Opal Inc. explored this deposit extensively from 1993 to 1999. Comprehensive exploration/development work was conducted on the Klinker Deposit, bulk sampling, product testing and proto-type product development programs. Designing and test marketing of opal jewellery products commenced in 1995. Market development and product line has expanded by 1999 to the point where commercial production and wholesale market development was feasible; subject only to raising sufficient investment funds to implement commercial mining and opal processing activities to support commercial marketing activities. Retail sales have grown over the testing period and the market for "Okanagan Opal" is expected to rise steadily once commercial production and wholesale marketing commences. Given the high value added potential that is evident from in-house test marketing of finished product the Okanagan Opal Business has been developed vertically, integrated from the mining to the finished jewellery sales stage. Off-shore opal cutting is viewed as a necessity to fully utilize all commercial grades and types of material recovered from mine production; however, the best gem grade Opal continues to be cut in Canada. Testing of off-shore cutting was commenced in 2004 and continued in 2005. Production of common opal, jelly opal and agate jewellery, utilizing by-product material was initiated in 2005. On January 1, 2006 the Klinker mineral lease owned by Okanagan Opal Inc. was sub-let under agreement to Opal Resources Canada Inc., which is a vertically integrated privately owned company based in Vernon, British Columbia. Also, Opal Resources Canada Inc. has an option to purchase a large opal bearing mineral holding surrounding the Mineral Lease. Numerous opal occurrences have been discovered on these surrounding claims which cover an ancient paleo lake basin suggesting the possible existence of a ~3,000 hectare "opal field" similar to those found in Australia and Nevada. Opal Resources Canada Inc. will continue to expand the broadly varied line of "Okanagan Opal" products, which will be market tested through an affiliate retail location in preparation for introduction into wholesale markets as production increases. In-house opal cutters and jewellery designers work closely with experts in their field and have most recent begun utilizing state of the art computer aided design to create unique setting designs in wax; which are then cast by one of Canada’s top gold casting companies to ensure top quality product design and casting quality. Test retail marketing successes to date provides a solid indication that the brightness and varied play of color exhibited by "Okanagan Opal" is appealing to locals, visiting Canadians and International tourists alike. "Okanagan Opal" gemstones and jewellery is anticipated to quickly become a prominent tourist commodity, particularly considering the expected increase in tourist visitations leading up to the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver/Whistler. Final stages of preparing the Klinker Opal Deposit for full commercial production have been completed with essential mining activities targeted for summer 2006. Since August 2002 limited production has occurred providing raw product for the creation of finished opal product to meet product development and market development needs. An adequate supply of Opal has been identified to meet preliminary production and market development needs for five to seven years; sufficient until further exploration is able to delineate the full extent of the known opal occurrences on and adjacent to the Klinker mineral lease. Further product development and additional exploration to determine the full extent of the commercial grade opal reserves is required. The Opal Resources Canada Inc. is seeking joint venture (JV) investment opportunities in order to actively pursue full commercial production/exploitation of this deposit. Parties interested in participating in this truly Canadian gemstone project are encouraged to present ideas to the Company directly. Opal, the birthstone for the month of October, is a mineral comprised mainly of tiny precipitated spheres of silica. Orderly packing of these silica spheres can cause light entering the stone to be diffracted into a rainbow “play of colors”; and is then referred to as “Precious Opal”. Precious opal from the Klinker Opal deposit exhibits a brilliant "play of colors". Each individual precious opal gemstone exhibits a uniquely different pattern, brightness and varied “play of color” that is unmatched by any other gemstone. Precious opal is used exclusively as gemstone material in the manufacture of jewellery. |
